It's a Nazi Day for a White Wedding.
Sunday Feb 25, 2018
Sunday Feb 25, 2018
Can a podcast make you see things? Well The Dukey Radio Show sure can and this week Dukey and the gang are going to put pictures in your heads that you won’t be able to look away from. There’s the ill-considered display of an ancestral photo at a wedding that shows the groom’s great grandparents sporting a certain…well… uniform…. And then there’s the spectacle of the health and safety breach of a vagina on a bowling alley’s food service countertop. Gee whiz, see that? That’s an awful lot of patriotic people wearing Union Jacks at that funeral… hmmmm…. wait a minute… pretty sure the deceased wasn’t a member of the forces. Then why is the coffin draped in the British flag? Uh oh…. And to introduce the new segment ‘Stretch that Rhyme’ Dukey and the gang have subjected themselves to the video for ‘Ebony and Ivory’. Why? Well so you don’t have to. You’re welcome.

Anuses
Nazi pizzas
Matter
Sylvia’s cookies
The real meaning of the word ‘fine’
What’s that you say? You’re sick to the back teeth of everyone going on about dry effing January and they’re effing health kick? Well how about an antidote to all that? Sure there’s talk about going to the gym but that’s only because Sylvia’s noticed that lots of people working out are putting their anuses on display. And because Irene is trying to get a 6-pack in less than 10 minutes. But Dukey and the gang are also chewing the fat (literally) over Sylvia’s chocolate chip cookie baking obsession. And what’s the deal with the Nazi pizza? Don’t worry, it will all be ‘fine’.

Highlights & Crylights
Tuesday Dec 26, 2017
Tuesday Dec 26, 2017
Behold! Dukey and the gang are donning their festive chat to explore the highlights and yes indeed crylights of 2017. Dukey, Sylvia and Marsha skirt round the peaks and troughs that have made up these 360 days (there’s still 5 to go) by taking a few conversational detours along such avenues as:
- Dogs as litmus tests
- The job descriptions of milk monitors
- How the state of ‘fine’ might be defined
- The unfillable days of sex pests
- Sylvia’s vision for her triceps and biceps
So keep your Santa hat on, fill a large glass to the brim with your favourite tipple and join us as we remember the laughter and the barely repressed snuffles of the tears in the quiet carriage of the train that has been 2017.
P.S. Just what is Slutty Sue doing to her vicar’s biscuits?

Spencer Brown & Bruce Thomas - Gusset, Gear and Gambling (P2 of 2)

Gusset, Gear and Gambling (Part 2 of 2 - with added undercarriage maintenance)
The Dukey Radio Show has won big! The show has bagged a record third interview with bass player extraordinaire (and Irene’s flaxen-haired love interest) Bruce Thomas. This time he is accompanied by the equally talented multi-instrumentalist Spencer Brown. They’ve pooled their musical genius to create a stellar new album, 'Back to the Start', and the only tricky thing now is Dukey having to calm Irene’s ire that she wasn’t in the studio to lavish these lovely guests with her …. um…admiration.
But you can be in the studio with us as we pontificate on how a pink parasol was vital to Bruce & Spencer's recording process, giggle at the glories of Charlie Watts' method for running around a drum kit and marvel at Sylvia's undercarriage maintenance in Manchester - 'The Goldilocks of Waxing'. The banter is particularly Anglo-Saxon in this episode and, in case language of a strong variety causes offence, just imagine the same naughty words in weaker form and you will be fine.

There’s a flutter on the gee gees and the discovery of Sylvia’s middle name. Does it begin with an S? Let’s hope so.

Leon Towers Interview
Sunday Oct 29, 2017
Sunday Oct 29, 2017
Hello….hello…hello…hello…echo…echo…echo….. Is the Dukey Radio Show this week being recorded in a place of worship? No but the Brighton-based dog hotel House of Hugo is as close to paradise as anyone’s going to get on this earth. And why are we there? To interview the proprietor of this heavenly establishment, the charismatic, sparkling, warm, vivacious Leon Towers. Join Dukey and Leon in Leon’s special chamber as they discuss television projects past, present and future, how a steaming south coast summer combined with a spate of unemployment meant Leon got published by accident and what was that? Leon pronouncing ‘murder’ in a Scottish accent? Spot on.
Slutty Sue is preparing for winter by doing some of her neighbour’s scrubbing, Sylvia has come over all smitten, Marsha a little sceptical (flat screen tellies in the dog’s rooms? Why wouldn’t there be?) and Irene gives everyone the reason for why she’s going out.

Edinburgh Fringe 2017 Dukey Awards
Monday Aug 28, 2017
Monday Aug 28, 2017
The Dukey Radio Show is handing out Dukey Awards! From the 'Best Use of a Burrito', 'Best Dressed Aggressive Audience Member' to 'Least Number of Fucks Given' - performers, audience members and even Biblical plagues of insects from in and around the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will be honoured with accolades and bestowed with Bests by the TDRS crew. They've been to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They've seen. They've done. And now Dukey, Marsha and Sylvia want you to join them as they hand out awards to the ushers, arseholes and Godzilla outfits that have impressed the trio most. You weren't there? That's ok. Neither were we (for some of the shows we're honouring). To say that this is an awards show with a difference would an exercise in pointing out the obvious. So we won't do that.

Michael Webster Interview
Sunday Jul 30, 2017
Sunday Jul 30, 2017
In this instalment of The Dukey Radio Show, we've got the multi-talented Michael Webster in the studio. This Southend native is the frontman and guitarist for B A I T. The bassist for Asylums. A driving force behind the sadly defunct Baddies. And a kingpin for the exciting and growing roster of Cool Thing Records. The pair chat about breaking things down and starting again musically, Andy Gill's bitter legacy, the dynamic of being a twin, Janet Street-Porter and a strong mutual love for Curb Your Enthusiasm. Be prepared to "step in that ass" for what is an emotional yet funny exchange.

Sunday Jul 23, 2017
Ethan and New Michael, one-half of the brilliant American comedy troupe "Asperger's Are Us", join Dukey in the studio. Todgers, Mark DuPlass's dodgy editing, specialist 'aspy porn', the legacy of their eponymous Netflix documentary, living on a diet of 'Soylent' and the pulse increasing allure of the London suburb Pinner all get a look in.
