Adam & Elvis Interview
Sunday Jul 09, 2017
Sunday Jul 09, 2017
We've got the sumptuous 'Adam & Elvis' in the studio. The Reading natives, Pat and Tom Malone, chat with Dukey about dodgy diets, dodgier drummers and their mutual affection for 'Pulp', 'The The' and 'Edison Lighthouse'. In addition, the brothers explore the gestation and production of their soon to be released album, 'Through Snow & Small Talk', as well as the attractive vulnerability of Britney Spears.

Jack The Envious Interview
Sunday May 28, 2017
Sunday May 28, 2017
The Dukey Radio Show welcomes post-hardcore metal band 'Jack The Envious' into the studio. We chat with Nir, Guy and Chuck from the group about the challenges of relocating to London from their native Israel, the benefits of having a "night time party manager" and how they juggled metal AND the military service in their early years.
And, after a long absence, Slutty Sue returns with an update on her very specialised cleaning regime in deepest South London.
To top things off, Irene also follows Jack The Envious's lead by the closing the episode with her own interpretation of a Gorillaz classic. Warning: The pensioner gives the De La Soul rap parts from 'Feel Good' a serious run for their money. She also kicks off the episode with her highly emotive rendition of Dukey's favourite track from our guest's forthcoming release - 'In Your Own Way.

Write, said Fred - Part 6
Sunday Apr 23, 2017
Sunday Apr 23, 2017
This is the sixth episode of The Dukey Radio Show to come with a health warning (from Irene). Despite the title, Part 6 of 'Write, said Fred' has nothing to do with either 'The Goon Show' or a certain band from the early 1990s who were far too sexy for their shirts. But it does contain an impressive quantity of expletives that are delivered in a tone that's best described as 'razor sharp'.
Our very own Marsha has recently joined a writing group, as discussed in 'Write, said Fred - Part 1 (09 January 2017), Part 2' (04 February '17), Part 3 (22 February '17), Part 4 (14 March '17) and Part 5 (03 April '17). Time takes on a very different dynamic in this 'end of term' instalment and there are nods to both Harold Pinter's 'The Betrayal' and Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction' as Marsha's recollection of her writing group meeting unfolds. Yes, that may have sounded wanky. But it's not a patch on the behaviour of group member Trenton whose actions on the night serve as an excellent study in the theatre of a***holery. Somehow implausibly, however, his masterful display of weaponry becomes overshadowed by the fact that Simon Schama is on Fred's ceiling. Which begs the question, why is this notable historian looming down from the upper reaches of Write Club HQ?

Hare of the dog
Sunday Apr 16, 2017
Sunday Apr 16, 2017
The Dukey Radio Show celebrates Easter with a suitably festive episode entitled 'Hare of the Dog'.
While children around the world have been facing egg hunts and bunny rabbits, our very own Marsha has had hangovers so intense that she's been eating chocolate liqueurs just to get her going in the morning. But, have no fear, Dukey and Sylvia are on hand to ensure she doesn’t end up “doing the full Bukowski”. In addition, the gang explore:
- A tale of two rods and a big silver cock
- Food culture clashes
- Bonding with telemarketing callers
- Racist Plumbers in Hot Water
- Women on the Tools
- Dogs on the Sheep Poop
- The resurrection (of Dukey's boiler)

Write, said Fred - Part 5
Monday Apr 03, 2017
Monday Apr 03, 2017
This is the fifth episode of The Dukey Radio Show to come with a health warning (from Irene). Despite the title, Part 5 of 'Write, said Fred' has nothing to do with either 'The Goon Show' or a certain band from the early 1990s who were far too sexy for their shirts. But it does contain an impressive quantity of expletives that are delivered in a tone that's best described as 'razor sharp'.
Our very own Marsha has recently joined a writing group, as discussed in 'Write, said Fred - Part 1 (09 January 2017), Part 2' (04 February '17 ), Part 3 (22 February '17) and Part 4 (14 March '17). Things have gone a bit 'Bizarro-World' within the writing group this time around. Niceness has replaced catty. The most lefty member was sporting a Sarah Palin T-Shirt. There were minmal baked goods on display. And Fred's own personal submission was met with so much disdain that our own Marsha felt sorry for him. Almost. But there's still trampy behaviour aplenty with a Deep Throat manoeuvre, phallic windows, Marsha honking on her hip-flask and Calvinism.

This is the fourth episode of The Dukey Radio Show to come with a health warning (from Irene). Despite the title, Part 4 of 'Write, said Fred' has nothing to do with either 'The Goon Show' or a certain band from the early 1990s who were far too sexy for their shirts. But it does contain an impressive quantity of expletives that are delivered in a tone that's best described as 'razor sharp'.
Our very own Marsha has recently joined a writing group, as discussed in 'Write, said Fred - Part 1 (09 January 2017), Part 2' (04 February '17 ) and Part 3 (22 February '17). Unfortunately, however, things are still not going to plan. But, with Sylvia along for support, the trio investigates how opiates are a good means of treating a writing group caused back injury.

Write, said Fred - Part 2
Saturday Feb 04, 2017
Saturday Feb 04, 2017
This is the second episode of The Dukey Radio Show to come with a health warning (from Irene). Despite the title, Part 2 of 'Write, said Fred' has nothing to do with either 'The Goon Show' or a certain band from the early 1990s who were too sexy for their shirts. Our very own Marsha has recently joined a writing club, as discussed in 'Write, said Fred - Part 1' (09 January 2017), and things are still not going to plan. But, with Sylvia along for support, the trio manage to explore decanting options for Vodka & Tonic in snowy Chelsea and how it's better to be annoying rather than derivative.
